When most people think of Minneapolis as a place to buy or rent property that they can call home, they think of long cold winters. This is true…we do indeed have long, cold winters. Perhaps it makes us heartier, though, because recently, Minneapolis was ranked the #1 Healthiest City by Forbes Magazine. Let’s get something straight, though. Winter is four…okay, sometimes six months of the year. But, we do have six other months and most of those are fairly delightful. Trust me…it can actually get hot here in the summer. No lie!

Target Field Transit Hub: Grand Central for Twin Cities
Already a booming area, business owners and residents of the North Loop are preparing for a new train station near Target Field. Hennepin County officials approved the proposal for the addition of the Target Field Transit Hub and pavilion on September 12th.
“This is going to be a spectacular facility tied to the ball park, transit and the neighborhood.” Stated County Commissioner, Peter McLaughlin in the Minneapolis Star Tribune following the commission’s approval of the project on Thursday.

The North Loop of downtown Minneapolis is quickly becoming the latest hot spot. The opening of the Twins Stadium in 2010 was a stepping stone of development. Today, you can find many wonderful restaurants, coffee shops and retail stores that cater to everyone from retirees living life in a downtown high-rise, to out of town families coming for a visit, to hipsters looking to check out the nightlife.
