The first thing we do for our buyers is help to determine your goals. We ask questions like: Why are you buying? Do you need more space? A bigger yard? Are you downsizing? Are you hoping to be in a specific school district? Are you wanting a move-in ready home, or do you like the idea of a fixer-upper?

WE GET A GOOD UNDERSTANDING OF YOUR FINANCES
Talking to a lender and getting pre-approved for a loan is critical in today’s tight lending market. We are here to help. If needed, we can help you locate a lender, or you can use your own – but it’s a good idea to start the pre-approval process as soon as possible. Having a pre-approval letter upfront will help determine how much you can spend, and submitting the letter with an offer will only strengthen your offer.
CONDUCT A NEIGHBORHOOD & HOME SEARCH
We’ve designed some super innovative search tools to help you with your neighborhood and home search. We’ve created several ways to search for your new home. You can search specifically for Lofts, Condos or Single Family Homes for Sale. Or you can conduct a Neighborhood Search – we’ve even designed a Building Directory that shows available For Sale listings in each building.
Now comes the fun part! One of our MPLS LIST agents will help prepare a list of homes to visit. The list can include homes you specifically wish to see, and others your MPLS LIST agent has researched that you may not know about. Together, you will visit properties and tour neighborhoods. Your agent will handle the booking for all showings and will be more than happy to drive you to each appointment, if you like.
MAKE AN OFFER
Once you’ve found the home you wish to buy, your agent will help you determine how much to offer based on a comprehensive real estate data review. They’ll prepare the contract, review it with you, and present it to the selling party. Your MPLS LIST agent will work with the selling party to negotiate terms agreeable to you and the seller as well as keep you informed the entire way.
NEGOTIATE A CONTRACT
We will ensure that you follow all of your contractual duties and help you perform a thorough evaluation of the property by hiring an independent home inspector. We will help you with any additional negotiations that arise based on the inspection report. Once you are satisfied with the property and final purchase agreement, the next step is to close!
CLOSE ON YOUR HOME
Our agents work very diligently to oversee smooth closings. Assuming your finances are good to go and no title discrepancies arise, closing on your new home can be easy. You will close at a title company, and once the seller receives their funds, the home is officially yours!
