North Loop Sustainability!

Uber car drivers now target the north loop. It amazes me on how the north loop has swiftly developed over the years.  With the addition of 15 brand new apartment rental buildings from ground up, some include amazing refurbished industrial space with historic values and sets of rules. Some with over 300 units, renters spend upwards of $2.50 a sq ft looking to be involved in this community and what it has to offer.  Friends get together and hop from one bar to the next. Set reservations at world class restaurants with menus created by young world renown chef’s and wine and dine. The best feature to me is . . .

CRP Certificate of Rent Paid Form Minnesota 2014

If you’re an owner of a property in Minnesota and you have rented it out in 2014 then you must provide a Certificate of Rent Paid (CRP) form to each person who rented from you during the previous year unless the property is tax-exempt.

Roommates: The owner, landlord or property manager is required to provide each renter living in the unit a separate CRP form showing that each roommate paid an equal portion of the rent, regardless of the portion actually paid or whose names are on the lease agreement.

You must give each renter a CRP . . .

I ❤ Northeast MPLS!

While both the North Loop and Downtown Minneapolis neighborhoods have been bursting with brand new, luxury apartment buildings, just over the Mississippi, in charming Northeast Minneapolis, there has not been any new developments until recently.

As of mid-October, both The Grain Belt Apartments and Red 20 Apartments opened their doors becoming the youngest, new construction residential buildings in the historic riverfront neighborhood.

And perhaps even more exciting than the killer locations, right in the heart of Northeast MPLS, full of locally owned shops and restaurants – is the price tag. Both buildings offer 1, 2 and 3 bedroom options that . . .

Winter Debauchery!

It’s been ten years now that I’ve lived in Minnesota, and I’ve never seen this much snow. And the cold? It’s never been this cold! Warm weather can’t come any faster than the fastest fast ball thrown by new Twin’s recruit Phil Hughes. Speaking of the Twins…when will Spring be here?! I guess we have our good days and bad days but for me, this winter has been a real nightmare, one of the worst in a long time.

The Future of Loring Park Living

Loring Park has long been a neighborhood in Minneapolis associated with the art scene and a unique style of living.  It caters to all types of individuals and embraces the diversity of its residents.  You are like to find young people in their 20’s and 30’s as well as retirees that appreciate the freedom of non-maintenance living and access to the many exciting entertainment opportunities that Minneapolis provides.  While most rental properties in the Loring Park area are in historic buildings that have been converted to condominiums, lofts and apartments, there are changes happening that will make the Minneapolis Skyline . . .

Minneapolis ranked #1 Healthiest City

When most people think of Minneapolis as a place to buy or rent property that they can call home, they think of long cold winters.  This is true…we do indeed have long, cold winters.  Perhaps it makes us heartier, though, because recently, Minneapolis was ranked the #1 Healthiest City by Forbes Magazine.  Let’s get something straight, though.  Winter is four…okay, sometimes six months of the year.  But, we do have six other months and most of those are fairly delightful.  Trust me…it can actually get hot here in the summer.  No lie!

During our “nice” months, Minneapolis is home . . .

Already a booming area, business owners and residents of the North Loop are preparing for a new train station near Target Field. Hennepin County officials approved the proposal for the addition of the Target Field Transit Hub and pavilion on September 12th.
