East Harriet is bordered by 36th Street to the north, 46th Street to the south, Lyndale Avenue to the east while Lake Harriet and Lakewood Cemetery largely make up the western border of the neighborhood.
Located within East Harriet are notable Minneapolis landmarks that include Lyndale Park Gardens, Rose Gardens, Thomas Sadler Roberts Bird Sanctuary and the home of Theodore Wirth the long time architect of the Minneapolis park system.
Many houses in the neighborhood are two-story homes. East Harriet has beautiful larger homes closer to the lake however they aren’t on the lake. Minneapolis property management companies will agree that East Harriet and the lakes area in general is a wonderful place live.
